Our small fields bloom with thousands of flowers cultivated using sustainable practices.
We are learning every day about ways to be more sustainable in the world of Farming.
We are a no-till farm that uses only organic products & we are constantly striving to make less of an impact on this beautiful planet we live on.
Hey, I’m Malissa!
Together, with my husband Joy, children Oliver & Meadow, as well as a team of dedicated farm hands, we run Amethyst Flower Farm in Tarrys, B.C.
I moved to the west Kootenays in 2021 with the desire to live in a closer knit community to raise my small family in, and with the goal of becoming more self-sustainable.
I was working toward my Nursing degree during the pandemic and realized the environment was not conducive to the work-life balance I desired. I have always loved nature & gardening - although I hadn’t ever tended to a garden larger than a townhouse sized plot. I dreamed of one day having a hobby farm where I could raise my family & grow my own food.
That dream was actualized during the summer of 2021 when I visited the Kootenays for a camping trip & fell in love with a small, flourishing flower farm in the community of Tarrys, B.C.
Fast forward to today, we are constantly working on improvements and learning ways to farm this land in the most sustainable way possible.
